MJ Gillen
Legal Policy Officer
M.J.is the legal policy officer at the Immigrant Council, whose work focuses on the rights of migrant children.
M.J. holds a first-class honours degree in Law and German (LLB (ling.germ)) from Trinity College Dublin and will commence qualifying as a solicitor at Arthur Cox LLP in 2023.
Before taking up his current role, M.J worked as the legal assistant at the Immigrant Council on secondment from Arthur Cox. Prior to this, M.J. worked for the Health Service Executive and as a research assistant to Dr. Aleke Stöfen of the WMU-Sasakawa Global Ocean Institute, a postgraduate maritime university founded within the framework of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
