How we work

  • Our Process
  • Working in Partnership

Working in Partnership

We support, research, advocate, campaign and stimulate public debate to promote the rights of immigrants and their families and achieve policy change. However we cannot do this alone. Working in partnership is central to all we do – including and most importantly working with and for people from a migrant background.

We also partner with other organisations working in the sector

  • Irish Refugee Council
  • Nasc - the Migrant and Refugee Rights Centre
  • Doras
  • Migrant Rights Centre of Ireland
  • Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland (MASI)
  • Business in the Community Ireland
  • Irish Council for Civil Liberties
  • Coalition Against Hate Crime
  • Children’s Rights Alliance
  • Irish Network Against Racism (INAR)
  • Jesuit Refugee Service
  • National Women's Council of Ireland
  • Irish Refugee and Migrant Coalition
  • National Transport Agency
  • Irish Blood Transfusion Service

We are part of affiliations

  • European Web Site on Integration
  • Dublin City Council Strategic Policy Committee on Social, Housing and Community Affairs
  • Irish National Observatory on Violence Against Women
  • Council for Justice and Peace at the Irish Episcopal Conference, Refugee and Migrant Project Support Committee

We work with state agencies

  • Garda National Immigration Bureau
  • International Protection Office – Customer Service Liaison Panel
  • Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service
  • Legal Aid Board External Consultative Panel

Working in the area of immigration naturally aligns us with other similar organisations in different countries, particularly within the European Union. We are delighted to work with the following agencies, organisations and umbrella bodies:

  • Enotes – European NGOs Observatory on Trafficking, Exploitation and Slavery
  • European Citizen’s Action Service
  • European Network on Statelessness (ENS)
  • European Programme for Integration and Migration (EPIM)
  • European Women’s Network of Migrant Women (ENoMW)
  • Immigrant Information Network
  • Immigration Law Practitioners Association
  • International Detention Committee
  • MIGNET
  • North South Immigration Forum
  • Outcome for Policy Change – Common European Monitoring, Analysis and Recommendations from the Migrant Integration Policy Index Indicators
  • Pathways to Work: An Employment Upgrade Training Programme for Young Immigrants (Leonardo da Vinci project)
  • PICUM: Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants
  • RAXEN National Focal Point for Ireland
  • Refugee Immigration Practitioners' Network
  • Transatlantic Network 2020
  • Transatlantic Forum on Migration and Integration
  • Women’s Human Rights Alliance

Some partnerships generate money, which is great as it helps fuel the work we do! Special thanks here to our financial partners:
