Sandra joined the Immigrant Council as Anti-trafficking Research Intern in March 2017. Previously she worked with Ruhama as Education and Development officer for a number of years. Sandra is originally from Spain and has been in Ireland for the past eight years. Previously in Spain, she qualified as guidance counsellor, primary teacher and sign language interpreter at Cordoba University; a few years later, she accomplished a Master of Arts degree in Women Studies at UCD, Ireland. She has developed a genuine passion for working and advocating for human rights, especially women’s rights, and is a feminist activist. Likewise, she has a strong belief that education is essential to living a life of dignity.
